At Aligned, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains why we collect data, what we do with it, and your rights as you move through our workshop. This Policy applies to our mobile application (“App”) and related services.

Aligned is owned and operated by The Connected Path LLC, a limited liability company based in Illinois, USA. We are the “data controller” and decide how your information is used to facilitate your relationship growth.

• Relationship MRI & Exercise Content: We collect your written responses and assessment data. To provide a high-fidelity workshop experience, the "Lead Architect" (acting on behalf of The Connected Path LLC) may review user inputs—which may be associated with your identity—to ensure the effectiveness of the curriculum and provide personalized guidance within the platform.
• Specific Consultation Consent: The App and the Lead Architect’s coaching services provided through What Healthy Couples Do are separate offerings. If you choose to use the "Consult with the Lead Architect" feature, you provide explicit consent for your App data to be accessed by the Consultant for the purpose of that external coaching engagement.
• Identity & Account Information: We collect your name, email address, and account password to secure your account and allow pairing with your partner.
• Activity Information & "Pairing": Your responses to exercises are shared with your partner only after you have chosen to "Pair." Pairing is the voluntary technical linking of two accounts. Please note that once accounts are paired, this data-sharing connection is permanent for the life of the account. To stop sharing information with a partner, you must delete your account.

We process your data based on Contractual Necessity (to deliver the workshop), Legitimate Interest (to improve curriculum effectiveness and provide expert oversight), and Explicit Consent (regarding shared partner data and personal consultations).

We do not share your personal data with your partner until you initiate "Pairing." We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share data with third-party service providers (like payment processors or cloud storage) to the extent necessary to operate the App.

We use industry-standard encryption and procedural safeguards to protect your information. Your personal data is stored and processed on secure cloud-based servers. While we strive for 100% security, no internet transmission is perfectly immune to risk; therefore, you provide your information at your own risk.

As a resident of the United States (and specifically under Illinois law), you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to update inaccurate information.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data (subject to certain legal retention requirements). Account deletion is the primary method for revoking shared access to data between paired partners.

Aligned is designed for adult couples. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah, you may have additional rights regarding the "Know, Correct, and Delete" functions of your data. We honor these requests for all our users, regardless of state, to ensure a high standard of transparency.

This Policy and any disputes arising out of it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, USA.
